…by joining us for a weekly practice of Tai Chi!!! If it’s been on your bucket list of things to do but you weren’t sure where or how, well the day has come! Take this opportunity to give Tai Chi a try, learn about it’s health benefits, and spend some time relaxing with a bunch of fun, kind, and interesting people. Keep reading for more information and we look forward to seeing you!

Tai Chi Revolution is offering a new beginner class starting on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024. This is the perfect class to take if you have never done Tai Chi before or if you used to practice but life got busy for a while but now you’d like to restart your practice. Tai Chi has proven benefits for physical and mental heath. Tai chi is a traditional Chinese practice that combines slow, thoughtful movements with a mindfulness that results in a “moving meditation”. Numerous studies over the years have found that it can help improve balance, strength, and lower risk of falls. Still on the fence and want a little bit more information before making the leap? We’ve got you covered – check out the links at the end of this post. If you are ready to make the leap the important details are coming up!

What will I learn? This six week class will get you started on your Tai Chi practice by teaching you the fundamental movements of Tai Chi.  You will learn the first 17 movements of the 108 movement set with qualified and knowledgeable instructors.  You found our website – now we’d really like to meet you in person!

When:  Tuesday nights beginning on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 and running through October 29th, 2024 (6 weeks).

Time:  6:00 – 7:30pm

Location: Tai Chi Revolution Studio located at 2817 James Street, corner of James and North Edwards Avenue.  The studio entrance is on North Edwards (there’s a sign in the window so you can find us) with off-street parking in front of the studio and across the street.  There is also free street parking.

Cost: $60 (payable at the first class; cash or check, unfortunately we don’t take credit cards)

What to wear:  Comfortable and loose fitting clothing.  Shoes should be flat and enclose your foot with good support (something like sneakers or low hiking shoes).  Bare feet, crocs, flip flops or open toed sandals should not be worn.

MASK REQUIREMENT: Our masking protocols are based on infection rates. Currently we do not require masks to be worn while in the studio. We care about our students, members, and guests and are committed to protecting everyone’s health while in our class. If infection rates spike, we may reconsider the masking requirement. Thank you for understanding.
