What?!! A New Beginner Class AND A New On-going Class!

We have two exciting announcements that we want to share with you!

Our FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT is that we are offering a new six week beginner class starting on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024! If you’ve never done Tai Chi before but have always been curious about it, then this class is for YOU!!! Tai Chi is the practice of deliberate slow movements and gentle postures that can improve balance, coordination, flexibility, circulation, and release some of the stress of your day. Our beginner class is safe for all fitness levels, is low impact, and modifications can be made to any of the movements to accommodate any physical limitations. No special clothing or equipment is needed and you’ll get to learn in a comfortable, well-lit studio with experienced instructors. Our group is friendly, supportive and welcoming. We want to ensure your time spent with us learning the practice of Tai Chi is both mindful and fun! Details about the new beginner class are below (at the end of this post).

If you still aren’t sure what Tai Chi can do for you here’s two articles about the benefits of the regular practice of Tai Chi:

This article from National Public Radio reports on research demonstrating how a regular practice of Tai Chi can help improve memory: https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2023/11/06/1210507968/thai-chi-word-games-cognition-mentally-sharp-meditation-motion

And this article from UCLA reports on how Tai Chi can help reduce stress and improve brain function: https://www.uclahealth.org/news/tai-chi-mind-body-medicine-ucla-health-psychiatrist-aims

Our SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT is that we are adding a NEW evening class in addition to our other classes for on-going students!! Like our two day-time classes, this class is meant for practitioners who have learned the basics of Tai Chi and want to spend more time refining movements and working through the set, people who have practiced Tai Chi in the past and want to get back into it, and newer students who have completed at least our Beginner Six Week class and want the benefit of having an additional class for practice. This new evening class will be at the studio on Thursday nights from 6 – 7:30 pm and will begin on Thursday, February 22, 2024 (our address is listed below). If you are a current dues paying member in good standing you can attend this class for free. If you are not currently a member of our group the class has a fee of $50/month. This fee allows you to attend any of the classes we offer. If you have questions or are interested in learning more, you can e-mail us at TaiChiRevolutionCNY@gmail.com. We hope to see you at the studio!

Details for the new beginner class are below.
